People have been asking about my favorite books of the year, so I figured this would make it easy. It’s a few days late, but there was one I started reading in 2012 and wanted to finish so I could put it on the list! Caveats: I know several of these authors but I wouldn’t tell you I liked something if I didn’t. And if your favorite isn’t on the list, I probably just haven’t had a chance to read it yet. (I’m always looking for recommendations!) Oh, and these are books PUBLISHED in 2012, no older books I read in 2012, however great they were.

I know this is an Unspoken tumblr, but I couldn’t allow the publication of Sarah’s Team Human (cowritten with Justine Larbalestier) go unmarked. I had the opportunity to read an ARC, and it’s SO GOOD YOU GUYS. You need to read it if you like vampires. Or if you don’t like vampires. Behold - the fanciest thing I own, a box full of Advance Readers’ Copies of TEAM HUMAN, a book that Justine Larbalestier and I wrote, which will not be out until JULY! Would you LIKE one?
It is about that first time in school when your best girlfriend has a boyfriend and she loves him SO MUCH and she talks about him ALL THE TIME… and also, he is a vampire.
